Back home after a productive test but the worst RC moment I ever had at the 1/8 Off Road European Championship warmup.
In the past I always had fights with many drivers, some fights were good and some fights were not so good but even if I liked the driver or not, one thing that we always had was respect. I had crashed out so many drivers and in 99% of the times I came to say “sorry” and if I said “sorry” I did waited for him on the track. I can say that I never ever put out nobody intentionally or did something bad to someone just because I don’t like him. Let’s talk about what happen this weekend at the European Championship Warmup. There are two well known very talented brothers that drive RC cars and those two qualified 1st and 2nd. One of them was super fast (1 second a lap faster) which own the first two finals(Overall winner). In the 3rd final this driver that own already the race decided to drive the last final and with no surprise as I was expecting to help his brother. So basically this super fast driver that was 1 second faster than everyone slowed down 2 seconds a lap giving a huge gap to his brother to lead. It was so ridiculous the way he was slowing down everyone that I even open to Boots and which him “good luck” with honest words in the driver stand, Boots did not survive 2 corners 😂😂 This was not everything, as this driver was so happy about his fantastic “show” by slowing down everyone to let his brother go away he decided to make something more. I only needed to finish 3rd in that final so basically I never tried to pass, I was ok with my 3rd place as I knew that I did not deserved any of the other two places as they were faster than me the entire weekend. So to end in great this driver decided in the last corner to turn to the opposite direction and full brake to put me out which he did very well. His attitude was shocking and everyone there felt shame for it. It was so dramatic to the point of one of his main sponsors came to our team so say sorry about his attitude, many other people came to our table to say sorry about that. What run me crazy is not the fact that this is my job and I need to make results, but the fact that there was so many young kids and so many new club racers watching and they had to see something like this. But what make me sad and disappointed is that things like this with this two brothers are happening all the time, this kind of scenes are happening all the time and so many other drivers had reported the same, similar or even worse situations. #riprespect |
