Well, this is the end…as most of you know it was my last race this weekend and it was only fitting that it would be at the home of RC, at the fantastic Robinhood Raceway. 
First off congratulations to Ben and Tommy on their respective wins, outstanding drive’s from both. I did ok on such an emotional weekend and even managed to style out a podium in 4wd so all good.

I’ve raced RC cars for 35 years, most of my life, competing in National and international events for the best part of 30 years, winning everything there is to win. Now you can’t do that without help from some very important people. 
First and foremost Craig Drescher, a hero to many people my age, an icon of the sport and someone who I’ve always looked up to and called a friend for many years, your help in every aspect of my career will never be forgotten.

Dave Bailey, Chris Kilroy, Adam Skelding, Paul Bradby and Ben Jemison. These people are not friends, their family, who have gone above and beyond for me and we’ve shared moments that I’ll always cherish.

I’ve raced for team Associated for 27 years and for most of that time Brent Thelke has been my team manager. Thank you for the amazing support you’ve always given both to me and my family, it’s been an honour to race for such an esteemed RC company, a friendship and a bond that will last forever.

A massive thank you to every sponsor I’ve ever had who helped me in anyway, with special mentions to Jason Varley at CML, you guys have been there forever and it made RC racing so much easier.

A massive thank you to every teammate that I’ve ever had who took the time to help me, there are way to many to mention but the list is long, with special mentions to my current AE/CML guys Chris Boden, Freddie Russell and the Hall brothers for help in recent years.

Thanks to Lee Martin for being an unbelievable rival and above all friend for 20 years, we both pushed each other to be better drivers, and our battles down the years have become iconic!

Thanks to the BRCA as a whole for everything you’ve done for me and many others, it’s an amazing sport to be part of and without these guys behind the scenes this wouldn’t be possible. Thanks for the amazing send off yesterday, it was beautiful, and very emotional.

Thanks to my long suffering wife Kloe for always supporting me, cheering for me, looking after our son when I’m away and just generally being awesome.

Thanks to someone who gets overlooked because she’s not been with us for many years, but thanks mum for all the sacrifices you made for me.

Last but certainly not least, the big man, my Dad. Above all the wins and all the trophies and all the titles, the biggest thing I take from this hobby is being able to do it all with my father, to travel the world together and to make such fantastic memories is something I’ll have forever, and something I know how lucky I am to have.

Thanks for all the support from everyone down the years. I’m not sure what the future holds but I’m sure our paths will cross at the track during the future.✌🏼
