Race report RCBash Sweden LSOR Cup #2 in Nyköping

The second race in the Swedish Large Scale Cup is done and dusted. Had an almost perfect day as I won all heats except the final and ended up in second place.
This was a new track and offers a lot of different surfaces, grass, astro, wood, stone and some dirt. The track blew up pretty badly and the holes got bigger and bigger and harder to avoid. In the final the track was so bad that I couldn’t find a good racing line and I had too thick shock oil making the car bounce around a little bit too much with the result of some more mistakes when trying to push harder. I made a small mistake after a couple of laps letting Emanuel Ergul pass and then made another mistake to allow him half a lap lead. Even if I was eating up the distance each lap in the end he ran a really good race and could take the win.
As we score points in every race except the initial qualifier I managed to score 98 out of 100 points for the cup standings which is my goal for this year. This is a really fun format as it means every race counts and is important. The winner of the day might not score most points (like in this race).
All in all a very good race day, car worked well except having a little bit too stiff shocks. It would have been very interesting to have the Ultron on this track and see if its superior suspension would have handled it better.
