After a long journey to Hanvec, we arrived at a track covered with Astro, which looked challenging from the start. It was the second time in my life I had driven an Astro and the first time with 4WD, so it was a completely new experience. The first practice sessions were on a wet track, but I still managed to find a better and better setup. Wednesday's second timed practice was already dry, and everything looked very good, and I was more than happy with the car.

However, for Thursday's qualifying, it started to rain, and the track was wet, which didn't suit me. After Thursday, I was in 30th place, and it didn't look good at all. Luckily, on Friday, the track started to dry out, and by the last qualifying session, I moved up a few places and at least made it to the quarter-finals. That went without a problem, and I made it to the B semi-final, where the competition was really tough.

The semi-final was again on a dry track, and I managed to move up to 4th place and made it to the A final. Finally, with 4WD! 🙂 I felt great in the final, but unfortunately, an electronics problem sent my car into a stone wall. Although it seemed like a short repair would fix everything and I could still continue, unfortunately, the wishbone pin couldn't withstand the impact, and I had to retire. It couldn't be helped; luck was not on my side this time.

But I finally found my speed with 4WD, and I believe that things will only get better from here. I couldn't have done it without great friends, mom and dad Martin Kraus and my girlfriend Ivona Vyskočilová. Thanks for the very helpful advice for car setup Vincent Beaucher, Maloux Beaucher and Sven Rodewald, and to Jurgen Takken, for providing the shock absorber material, helping with bolts and much more. To Franck Cohade, the engine is absolutelly amazing and my brother Tomáš Kraus for the reassuring advice and information in the headphones!
