Once again this race proved to be one of the best and most difficult races in our calendar, as over the last few years it developed into an „unofficial” World Championship on carpet.

The weekend started off very well in practice, both my Schumacher R/C Racing Cougar LD3M and CAT L1R were spot on from the get go equipped with Hobbywing Technology/ Sunpadow RC, Power HD, Whitz Racing Products and MR33 Racing.

The newly released LD3M was such a weapon allowing me to Top Seed all seeding practices, TQ all 4 qualifying and take flag to flag wins in both A1 and A2.

In 4WD we had to work very hard to find the right setup and right tyres for these conditions and we kept taking a lot of risks even in the later stages of qualifying to have the pace to fight for the win. As qualifying finished and we were getting into super pole I felt like we finally found, what we were looking for all weekend. I was able to line up 2nd and have amazing battles with Bruno ( as always 😅 ), but he was too strong for us and we had to settle for 2nd place in 4WD. The highlight of the weekend was the 4WD A2 race, one of the best races in my career until making one of the worst and stupidest mistakes of my career with 3 laps to go. If you haven’t watched, you definitely should! Well done to Bruno and his team for the 4wd win.

This meant, that me and Bruno would go head to head in a super pole race for the overall title at the very end of the race. Something I have never experienced before. However, in my head I was feeling very strong and confident knowing how good my cars were in the finals. At the end, I was able to put in some fast laps and defend the overall title here after all the craziness.

Huge respect to Bruno Coelho RC Driver and his team, we always race each other across all the categories and I have never enjoyed this rivalry more!

Well done to Broc Champlin RC for putting the Schumacher cars on the podium in both 2WD and 4WD!
