This past weekend we travelled to Cullman, AL for the Alabama Manufacturer's Shootout. It was a very basic layout but the high speed made it challenging.

We had 3 rounds of controlled practice on Thursday which was nice as we didn't have to stand in line for practice, the 3rd practice would be the seeding round where your fastest 3 consecutive laps would seed you.

Friday was 3 rounds of qualifying, we struggled a bit to find the pace we needed to compete with the fastest guys, we continued to work on setup and tires throughout qualifying, and I would end up qualifying near the front of the B mains for all 3 classes, and I knew I would have my work cut out for me on Saturday in the super pole races to try and make it to the A Mains.

Saturday they ran superpole races for every main, this would determine the starting grid for the particular main and if you won the superpole, you went directly into the next main without having to run the previous main . I was able to win the ebuggy superpole which put me in the A main for that class. I fell just short in nitro buggy and nitro truggy so I would have to run the B main for both those classes.

Sunday was main day and first up for me would be the nitro truggy B main, where I would finish 2nd and bump to the A. Next up was the nitro buggy B main, we made some changes to the car and my car felt really good, I was confident with it. I was leading the main with 7 minutes to go and rounded a 180 corner and for some reason the engine just died, this has never happened with the FX engines before, my Dad got me fired up quickly in the pits and the car ran flawlessly for the rest of the race, I really have no idea why it died, I must have gotten a rock in the flywheel, that's the only explanation I can think of. This was super disappointing for me as my buggy was really good, and I was looking forward to running the A Main. I would finish in 4th place just missing out on the bump spot.

Ebuggy A1 would be the next race for me, my car felt really good, and was able to make my way up to the 8th spot from 13th on the grid.

Next up would be the truggy A main, I would be starting 15th on the grid, and would make my way up a bit and then fall back and go back and forth but in the end I would finish 9th .

Ebuggy A2 would be next , my car felt amazing, even better than the first main. I was able to make it through some traffic, and then later on in the race there was a major pile up that I was able to get through and would make it up to 2nd which is where I would finish.

My last main would be the ebuggy A3, again starting from the 13th position, I was able to make up several spots early on and then just slowly made my way up to 4th which is where I would finish this main and would finish 4th overall.

Big thanks to Roger Cowart, Wilson Cowart, and Blake Baker, for the hospitality, the pit spot and help with marshalling, thanks also to Will Walker and Richard Saxton for helping my Dad in the pits.

I want to thank my sponsors for giving me the best products to compete at the highest level Xray, Hobbywing, FX Engines, Hot Race Tires, MKS, A Main Hobbies, HUDY, VP fuels, Protek Rc, EZ Customs, Stickit1, Avid rc, and 110% Racing.

Thanks to my family for all their support, help and the sacrifices they have made throughout my career, being able to have my Dad at all my races, knowing I can count on him to be there for me, has been a huge blessing. Most importantly I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, without him I would not have gotten where I am today.
