Good weekend spent at AMS Alabama Manufacturer Shootout!

Good weekend spent at AMS  Alabama Manufacturer Shootout! This years event was the most competitive yet. With all the US guys and a few European drivers mixed in, and a quick fast layout made for some extremely close racing.
I was content after qualifying to land straight in all 3 A finals, starting 6th/8th/12th for the super pole rounds. The goal was to move forward and try to gain as many starting spots for the main events Sunday, unfortunately I was only able to move forward in Ebuggy, where the other 2 classes I drove into a few unlucky pileups and had some untimely errors falling towards the back.
Come main time I felt confident in my cars, this track was always tough for me in years past, very narrow groove, high grip and this year I was feeling much more comfortable on the surface.
In the Ebuggy mains, I fought hard, getting up to 3rd as the highlight in A2 but unfortunately caught in a wreck I fell back some in the end of the race to finish 7th, paired with an 11 in A1 I finished 12th overall.
In Truck, I had a decent race going, it was very hard to pass as we all freight trained around until the first pit stop. I managed to make up a few positions after the pit, until an unfortunate mechanical issue took me out of the race.
Buggy started off as another rough race, catching the end of a pileup in the back left corner falling to 16th. I knew staying clean, smooth and out of pileups would be key to moving up after, so I did just that and made my way up to the top 10, seeing the battle for 6-10 ahead. After dodging a crashed car in the middle of the track I ended up stuck between the step on step off, unfortunately the Marshall wasn’t able to see me and I lost 16 seconds that lap. After I got going again I fought back into the top 10 back on the same lap as 6th. While a p10 may not show much, I was happy to be there given the crazy events in the final, my Nova Engines powered NB48 2.1 on JConcepts Inc blue Reflex was on point and stayed consistent the whole 45 mins in the difficult conditions!
Thanks to Kayty and Garrett for the help in the pits all weekend, and to my Sponsors for giving me the opportunity to compete at these events! 💪🏻
