Back home and rested after the 2023 Psycho Nitro Blast

Back home and rested after the 2023 Psycho Nitro Blast. The RaceTime entertainment crew yet again hosted an awesome event, from the layout to adding a seeding round to let us get some laps on the track and avoiding the long practice line that PNB is known for. From the start all three of my Ultimate Racing/ Hobbywing  North America powered, JConcepts Inc  equipped Tekno RC rides were dialed.

After the seeding round Friday morning I seeded into P11 for truck, P6 for EB and unfortunately my transponder was not clicking laps during NB. During seeding I felt very confident in all three of my cars and I knew going into qualifying Saturday morning if I had mistake free runs I would be up towards the front come main day. I made a few changes to the car after seeding during free practice and I was ready for qualifying.

Qual 1 came around and it started off okay. I came out strong in truck finishing P2. EB started off very well setting me up for a TQ run and a DNF came my way as my pinion fell off, so I was pretty bummed as there was no resorting due to only having 2 qualifiers. NB started off a little rough as I collected myself with a crashed car, I was able to salvage a P16. Onto Qual 2, I followed up my Truck run with a P3 and I knew I was going to have a good starting position come main day, which just gave me motivation come EB and NB time. I was able to improve EB to a P5 and then ended qualifying out with NB where I put in a P9 run. After qualifying I started P2 in truck, P10 in EB and P13 in NB. I was very happy to have all three cars locked into the mains.

Moving into main day, pro truck was the first race up. Starting P2 I knew that as long as I could keep rubber down it would be a great race. I gained the lead right at the start of the race and held that for many laps as Mason, Dakotah and I had many great battles. After Mason and Dakotah took their last joker lap, I ended up settling with a P3 in truck after a fun fought battle for 30 minutes. This a gave me a lot of confidence moving into EB. EB Main started and there was a lot of carnage at the start allowing me to move into a position to battle for a podium finish. After battling with the Fuller brothers I walked away with another P3. We had roughly an hour and 10 minutes to get ready for NB. I was feeling really good with how my program was going and knew I needed to drive smart in NB as I was starting toward the back on the field and there was 45 minutes to battle it out. In the opening laps of NB I was able to quickly make my way up to 5th place, but after the first fuel stop everything began to unravel for me as the tire choice I made was not the correct choice for myself, no ones fault but my own. I wanted to try a tire a lot of my JC teammates were on and I knew that with the wear on a new set of Blue Reflex in the EB main there was no way they were lasting for 45 minutes. After the race was finished I came home with a P13. This was a bummer as I was running great all weekend, but in the end I am very happy with my results. This weekend was definitely a confident booster as it feels good to be back behind the wheel.

I would like to thank all of my sponsors for their continued support! I would also like to say a huge shoutout to Danny and Joe for their help in the pits all weekend and to Joe for letting my ride down with him in the campulance! Thank you to all my friends and family back home for all the kind words and messages.
