As far as racing goes, what tough weekend. Top seeded 3 of 4 classes on the big track, and then the small track happened. We definitely made big strides, with having nitro truck and ebuggy the day before nitro buggy. I took some gambles to see what would work and not work for nitro buggy, and with the help of the HB team I think it payed off.

The Nitro Buggy main on Sunday was tough. Mentally draining and no time to take a breath. I had an awesome start, but rolling with the punches the track gave us was hard during the 45 minute venture. I had a tough stint about 20 minutes in, for a good 10-15 minutes. I started to rally hard the last 10 minutes and even stuck the HB Racing buggy in 3rd on the 2nd to last lap. Due to instances before with Ty, I figured he would be close in the turn we had a few run-ins at, so I drove hard in there and endoed at the 180 after the finish only to give back 3rd to Ty on the LAST LAP. Drove super good to get back there, and to not salvage the spot was a huge bummer.

I cannot say anything more than how dialed ALL my equipment was. 9 minute pits with Ultimate/VP Power helped cut a stop, TZO tires kept me glued on the loamy rough, and my HB Racing buggy was a dream to drive. To have done multiple trips to The Dirt for testing just for DNC, it's a huge bummer that we didn't get to race on the big track, it was a masterpiece that Joey created.

Thank you to the Nelson's as always when I come to So Cal, they always treat me like family, and always go above and beyond to help me when need be. Dylan Nelson and Cody Thompson did great in the pits, despite my shitty entries into the pit lane. Chalking this one up as a progress made weekend, proud of the HB team, TZO team and everyone involved in lending a hand in my program!
