This R/C model assembly kit creates the 2 belt-driven 4WD TRF421, the latest model in the line of TRF (Tamiya Racing Factory) chassis, which offers a plethora of setup options and easier pit work. Its motor has been moved into an almost central position and drive belts are of equal size, contributing to greater pitching stability on the throttle. A choice of one- and two-piece versions of the upper deck lets you fine-tune your setup, and the refined drivetrain uses a front direct coupling and rear oil-filled gear differential. The suspension uses upper and lower A arms, with the latter employing ball connector mounts; new USBB (ultra-short big bore) dampers are mounted via aluminum stays, and can be further fine-tuned with spacers. A total of four stabilizers (three thicknesses: 1.0mm x1, 1.1mm x2, 1.2mm x1) is included, and countless parts across the chassis have been updated.

A close-up on the three-piece steering setup. Three varieties of spacer let you fine-tune steering range.

Both upper and lower front arms are A-shaped. Choose from three caster angle setups and three damper lower pivot positions.

USBB (ultra-short big bore) dampers help lower the center of gravity. Dedicated double-cardan joint drive shafts are employed.

A-arms are also used top and bottom on the rear. Long lower arms spans help the car maintain form through corners. Drive shafts and wheel axles are new.

The chassis has aluminum damper stays. Fine-tune your setup with different spacers.

Positioned under the drive shaft to ease maintenance, a choice of stabilizers is included: 1.0mm x1, 1.1mm x2 and 1.2mm x1.

The motor is virtually dead center, letting the TRF421 use equal-length drive belts for greater pitching stability on the throttle.

Secured with a single nut, the spur gear can be removed swiftly.

The 2.25mm carbon fiber lower deck is slimmer than that of the TRF420, enabling more stroke under roll and improving traction and stability.

A choice of 1- and 2-piece 2.0mm carbon fiber upper decks is included. Alter screw positions to affect roll.

Battery holders allow swift access, and are compatible with a range of battery packs.

Horizontal rear mounts help alleviate body wobble.
